Two cardiac CT societies and one website

Diagnostic Imaging reports the formation of two cardiac CT societies in the US, one called the American Society of Cardiac CT (ASCCT) and the other Society of Cardiac CT (SCCT). (This can only happen in the US).

This weekend also saw the launch of a new website on the subject called www.ctcardiac.com

Cardiac CT is the new "buzz" topic with new machines and new indications.

Voice recognition and correctionists

Scanman has done it again. There is an excellent op-ed on the subject of voice recognition in Diagnostic Imaging. I could add one more point from the Indian perspective - its still cheaper to hire "typists" / "transcriptionists", than to install a voice recognition system.
