4th AUC - registrations are finally closed...whew! One more in December.

Yesterday we finally closed registrations for the 4th AUC. Just before closure, the 36th registrant mailed us his completed form. The last four seats have been taken up by GE for their 3D ultrasound customers, since the majority of programs left are 3D based.

The list of registrants is up here.

We are still getting calls for registration. Many people are still in the process of receiving their brochures by mail and cannot believe that the registrations are already over. We have been explaining to all those who call that the online community will always get a 10 days to two weeks' head start over those who register only through "paper" mailers. Hopefully more people will try to register online for the next course.

The next course will be in the middle of December and we will open registrations in the last week of October.

Well this conferance is probably only meant for practising radiologist and not for the residents who can hardly afford the amount. One comment was heard by us that it was meant for only those who do doppler examination routinely and a resident hardly get the experince of doing the same in 3 yr tenure. We KEM residents do at least 18-20 hrs of doppler work daily. So we know that we also need such knowledge updates which we cannot really attend. And most important REF is considered the best and most accesible foudation for learning for residents and that to within monetary reach of the residents. Can something be thought about this?

Granted, but it is very difficult to conduct a program such as this at low cost. REF always conducts some programs that are expensive and may not be accessible to residents monetarily. REF is meant for both residents and consulting radiologists. Having said that at least 25% of the registrants this time are residents.
